Terms of Service

Effective 2026-04-22

1. Who's who

"scsipub" (scsipub.com) is a service operated by Defensible Logic, Inc. ("we", "us"). By using scsipub you ("you") agree to these terms. If you don't, don't use the service.

2. What scsipub does

scsipub serves disk images over the iSCSI protocol. You connect with an iSCSI initiator, you get a block device, you do with it what you want within the limits of your tier and these terms.

3. Accounts

Some features (anonymous targets, the blank-scratch disk) work without an account. Others (persistent sessions, higher limits, uploading your own images) require you to register with a valid email address. You're responsible for keeping your password and API keys confidential.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms or applicable law, or if we reasonably believe your use threatens the integrity, security, or availability of the service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use scsipub to:

  • store, serve, or distribute content that is illegal in the jurisdiction where we operate or the jurisdiction where you or your end users reside — including but not limited to child sexual abuse material, content that infringes copyright or trademark, and content that incites violence;
  • use the service as a relay or proxy to conceal the origin of malicious traffic, including DDoS reflection, port scanning, or command-and-control infrastructure;
  • attempt to access other users' sessions, overlay files, or account data;
  • circumvent the rate limits, write-limit quotas, or tier restrictions enforced by the service;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of any non-public component of scsipub.

5. Data handling

Session overlays and the bytes you write into them are ephemeral. Non-persistent sessions are deleted the moment they disconnect; persistent sessions are deleted when their TTL elapses or you destroy them. We do not inspect the contents of your overlay writes except as necessary to operate the service (e.g. disk-usage accounting).

See our Privacy Policy for details on what we do collect and why.

6. Paid plans

Paid tiers are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Prices are shown on the Pricing page. You may cancel at any time through Stripe's customer portal; your tier downgrades to the free registered tier at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are at our discretion.

7. Service availability

We aim for continuous availability but offer no specific SLA on free tiers. Paid commercial tiers receive an SLA on written request. Service may be interrupted for maintenance, upgrades, or causes outside our control.

8. Limitation of liability

scsipub is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Defensible Logic, Inc. and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability in connection with your use of the service, for any and all claims, is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the email address on your account at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming.
